Procedure
- Verify three phase operation
- Determine input/output voltage
- Standard transformers are suitable for operation on a 50/60HZ system which refer to other special frequencies requirements.
- Determine KVA/VA load capacity. Transformers are selected to have a standard KVA rating equal or greater than the KVA load requirement.
- Three Phase KVA calculation:
KVA= Volts x Amps x 1.732 / 1000
- Electric voltage unit conversion:
1KVA=1000VA
1kW=1.25KVA
1HP=746W
